Who are Friends of Litchard Primary School (FOLPS)?

Friends of Litchard Primary School (FOLPS) is the school’s Parents, Friends and Teacher Association (PFTA). The aim of the PFTA is to raise funds to purchase resources, equipment and put on activities outside the normal school budget that enrich the learning experience for all children at the school.

FOLPS’ fundraising activities support the following annual activities:

-          Funding towards school trips to minimise costs for parents/caregivers.

-          Buying every child at the school a small gift from Santa who delivers them to classrooms in his trolley sleigh.

-          Funding the food for children attending the Year 6 Camp Craft event.

The PFTA also purchase resources for the school, for example in the past, FOLPS has bought the wooden pirate ship play area and the wooden castle in the nursery playground.

We rely on volunteers to help with our fundraising activities and events. Our committee are all volunteers and anyone can lend a hand: parent, caregiver, grandparent or friends!

FOLPS meetings are held on every first Tuesday of the month in the Red Dragon pub in Litchard at 7.30pm.

2023/2024 Events:

Autumn Term:

·         Meet & Mingle Coffee Morning – 19th September, 9am – 10am in the staff room

·         FOLPS Family Festival (Summer Fete) -  16th September, 11am – 4pm on the school fields/ or in the school hall.

·         Autumn Discos – 15th November (infants) and 22nd November (Juniors), in the junior’s school hall.

·         Christmas fayre –2nd December, 10am – 2pm in the junior’s school hall.

·         Brass Band & Christmas Carols Community Event – 3rd December, 6pm – 8pm in the school yards/or in the school hall.

 

Spring Term:

·         Spring Discos - 5th March (Juniors) and 6th March (Infants)

 

Summer Term:

·         Rainbow Raffle – donations in by 10th May. Raffle tickets back to school by 14th May. Raffle draw by Mr Jones 21st May.

·         Summer Discos (dates TBC)
